Hairstyle/Highlights?

I have black meduim length hair, and would like to highlight my hair. Which color do you guys think is the best highlight color for my hair? (I was thinking golden blonde with the black hair would look nice) Thanks. Be specific and descriptive.Hairstyle/Highlights?
If you have black hair, I would go with a sort of caramel red highlight. I have really dark hair also, and when I would highlight my hair with to much of a blonde highlight, it didn't look great and it grew out fast. So I started going with a caramel with a red undertone and it looks great with black. Find someone that uses foil instead of a cap also so the highlights are chunkier and not so mixed in everywhere. I have a friend that has the blond highlights in his long black hair and he is so cool with the highlights. Do it blond!
Nothing (I repeat...NOTHING) lighter than a med caramel. Anything lighter will ruin your hair, mess with your complexion, and generally just look funny.
It truly depends on your skin-tone. Here's a clip from CBSNews that I found to be very helpful. I've always thought getting blue lowlights with black hair is beautiful though.
Deep red tones like Burgundy and a little auburn would look good too.
