Where can I get temporarily Blood Red highlights?

It can be Temporarily highlights or clip on hair extensions.

I'd like them a non-natural red, (Like real red.)Where can I get temporarily Blood Red highlights?
Well in order to get that color in your hair you would have to bleach/lighten it first.... and thats not temporary.

Also most red dye is semi-perminate. Which means it comes out, but not all the way. Your hair will always have a light red tint to it.Where can I get temporarily Blood Red highlights?
you can't get temporary red without bleaching your hair. you can only go darker than your natural or existing hair color without bleaching, which is permenant. So, while the red might rinse out, it will still be white-ish yellow underneath.
if your hair is black (like in your avatar), it would be hard for blood red to show up so you'd have to find one that works on dark hair. i've had success with loreal colour rays. the box doesn't say whether it's permanent or not, but in my hair it doesn't stay too long (but i don't think my hair holds color very well). other then that, you would probably have to bleach your hair or use the clip on things... which i have no clue where you could find them.
You can get human hair extensions (or specially designed synthetic hair extensions) that you can dye any color you want.

Here's a youtube video showing you how to create highlights in your hair with clip in hair extensions: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CrP_tbFDk鈥?/a>
Clairol has a highlighting kit called XtremeFX, which you might like. Walgreeens usually has the red variety on their shelves, as well as a lovely purple. You won't even have to pre-bleach. I've used it on jet black hair and it showed up just fine, which is saying a lot because my hair is really stubborn.
Manic Panic washes out in a few weeks and the also have clip-on ';glam strips';. http://www.manicpanic.biz/HairProducts.h鈥?/a>

Can i bleach blonde over my red highlights?

Ok, so i used to have these really cute chunky blonde highlights in my hair over the summer. i wanted a change in the fall so i switched to a really dark brown base with vibrant red chunky highlights.

I am really over the red and want very much to get back to the blonde hightlights i had...but i'm not sure if the red will lift to the brass-free blonde look that i want, and i don't want it to turn pink either. the last time i touched up the red highlights was over a month ago.Can i bleach blonde over my red highlights?
No please don't - go to a hairdressers and explain as if you DIY it will go ginger - my friend did this - and it was permanent

hope this helps xxx =)Can i bleach blonde over my red highlights?
if ur getting them bleached over, then yes it will cover it up. Bleach will take dye out of your hair completely and take it straight to blonde. it wont turn pink, unless you dont leave the bleach in long enough.
as long as you use bleach it will work, dont use blonde dye, that will probably make it pink lol

good luckk!
No, Use oreal hair color remover
NO, the red will always be there and will interfere with whichever colour you use. Red fades so fast, but is hard to get rid of completely.

What you need to do is remove the red from the hair, and then you can use any lighter shade you want without fear of any brassiness.

You don't want to use a bleach at this point, since that only opens up the hair too much for what you need. Use a colour remover (goes by several different brand names) to get rid of any *artificial* colour in your hair. If it is still not light enough, or has too much yellow or gold, then you can bleach a little to get it lighter. Then use a toner (pale tint used on bleached hair) to get the final shade.

This is not really difficult -- if you follow the steps and know what you are doing. The hard part is to separate out the highlights so that you don't accidentally bleach or tint the other hairs. This is nearly impossible to do cleanly.

What you may have to do is suffer through the light faded red for a bit, and let them grow out. In the meantime, when you get a retouch, just have the new highlights done in the shade you want. It may not look that bad after all. But you really should have a discussion (consultation) with a professional hair colourist to see if there is anything else you can do that will still look good and is not this much work to do. We can't see your hair from here very well. They will be able to do a proper analysis on your hair, and see what condition it is in and what you can do to it.

  • Im a preppy asian girl, should i get blonde or red highlights in my hair?

my current hair color is black, everyone loved it brown. everybody HATES it black. i dont wanna know all my hair since my scalp is sensitive so i wanna just get highlights.Im a preppy asian girl, should i get blonde or red highlights in my hair?
My wife is Asian and I really think highlighted or red, blue whatever hair on Asians looks unattractive.

Unless you are going for the punk/hardcore image, that's a different story.Im a preppy asian girl, should i get blonde or red highlights in my hair?
asian chicks look good with cool hairstyles i must admit,

go with red and rock it out

    :)
    do both, that'd be awesome
    blonde!
its up to you what do you like, blonde
If your hair is brown then blonde highlights would look better than red. If you say you're preppy then red would look more like a rocker and sorta gothic.

Hmm, i also think that you need to be more aware of who you are and not base your decisions on what others think looks better on you.

How do you like your hair? Its not about what other people say or think, its about you and your own self-confidence.
I think your shiny black hair is beautiful, red is too common in Asian girls %26amp; in my opinion not really preppy, more punkish. I say soft blonde or light brown, but will need good stylish so you don't come out orange!
    go for red highlights!
It'd be pretty Japanese of you.
    go for it
umm do red...cause people usually get blonde ...so yeah ;)
maybe some soft blonde highlights i will find some pix and edit later k
    Red
blonde would look funny with black. and thats like a bad funny, not a good funny. so go with the red. people will be so jealous :]
Okay. I'm Asian myself. I think that Asians look better with red highlights. So, go for red. I got them. They look pretty good.
blonde highlights would be good in black hair
    blond highlights definately

    red highlights? ew
Blonde highlights would look best if you'd want to go for the a more preppy look =)

    Good luck.
i'm actually wondering about the same thing, too.

i'm getting my hair dyed today, and i really want red, lol. but im probably going to ask the stylist what looks better.

i'd suggest blonde/honey highlights if you're preppy, but red highlights if you're most edgy. the red highlights will make you look more asian lol. hope it turns out great, though.
no, neither would be very good. asian girls have VERY pretty hair. i dont think you should die it at all. no matter what though, DO NOT get blond or red highlights!! if you want lighter brown highlights around your face that would be pretty but definitely do not use blond or red, it looks seriously disgusting on people with black hair. i know, ive tried it and a lot of my friends have done it. use natural colors like a cool brown around your face.
    Red
Go for the red highlights! I'm Korean and I have red streaks on my bangs and at the end of my hair. I've tried blond streaks but they're just like..ehh. Usually Asians go for the blonde most of the time, so I suggest you get the red! A dark crimson-colored red not a bright neon red.

Help! Any ideas on how to tone down the contrast between my black hair & red highlights?

I wanted highlights for my hair to add dimensions but I thought that it will look a little natural so I was shocked that they put red highlights on my black hair. So I am thinking to dye my whole hair to lessen the contrast. Some shade of brown maybe?

Is it a good idea? any suggestions for the hair color?

Tnx.Help! Any ideas on how to tone down the contrast between my black hair %26amp; red highlights?
If the color seems a bit strong, don鈥檛 worry--it takes a week or so for the color to fully oxidize and tone down. Plus, you may not be used to the color just yet. Sometimes it takes a couple of weeks to get used to a change like that.

Did they add red?- or is this just your natural lift color the highlights created?

If they added red, red normally doesn't stick around long. It's one of the colors that washes out fairly quickly.

I just had my hair dyed dark red a week ago by a professional and it's almost gone.

Be very cautious about dyeing over new hightlights. I wouldn't even attempt it unless you're experienced with the color wheel and know what base color cools off red hues.

If you have a wig shop in your area, go and try some on. This will give you a great idea of how colors look on you before you change color again and perhaps don't like it.

You could always go back to the salon where you had the highlights done and tell them you don't like it and to change it.

Dyeing your hair is sometimes damaging, so ensure if you do dye it, it's something you can live with for a long time.

There are also free online virtual hairstylers. You can take a picture of yourself, upload it online and try different colors and styles on. I've listed a demo version website below.

Good luck and I hope this helps!Help! Any ideas on how to tone down the contrast between my black hair %26amp; red highlights?
Dye your hair with the burgandy color, but not for the whole time required. It will tone down the black and deepen the red to create a more natural look. Good Luck.
